Here at Goodall Pools & Spas, our number one priority during the COVID-19 pandemic is the safety of your family. As you probably know, there is a lot of information circulating about the coronavirus and if it infects pools and spas. To separate fact from fiction, we have compiled a FAQ that we hope will provide clarity.
Pools & Spas Don’t Spread COVID-19
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there is no proof that pools or spas spread the virus. A properly maintained and sanitized pool is your ally in the war against the coronavirus.
Pool Companies Are Essential Businesses
According to the World Health Organization, the key to preventing the spread of infectious diseases is by maintaining water quality. For this reason, the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) believes companies like Goodall Pools & Spas should be classified as an essential business to continue keeping pools and spas disease-free.
Don’t Put Off Maintenance
We’ve had an unseasonably warm winter and spring which means your pool or spa is a prime breeding ground for pathogens like pseudomonas, E. Coli, COVID-19, and those pesky, disease-carrying mosquitos. To protect your family from these threats, don’t put off maintenance. Instead, put your quarantine “free time” to good use by scheduling an appointment as soon as possible.
Pools Cure Cabin Fever
Spring is around the corner and nothing cures cabin fever like splashing in your pool or spa. After all, with the gyms and public pools closed indefinitely, getting your pool ready for your staycation is more important than ever.
Complete Pool Construction
According to the PHTA, if you’ve started construction on a new pool or spa, it’s imperative to complete it and not postpone. Delaying construction increases the risk of cave-ins, pool popping, and other construction site issues. Toss in stagnate rainwater and you’re inviting bacteria, viruses, and mosquitos to breed near your home.
Free Water Test
As a public service to the community, Goodall Pools & Spas is offering free water tests. Simply label your sample with your name, address, and phone number and drop it off at any of our locations.
At Goodall Pools & Spas, we believe that the last thing you need to worry about in these uncertain times is the safety of your pool or spa. Leave that to us. Your family’s safety is our number one priority.
