Goodall Pools and Spas offers a lot of exciting elements that will bump up the bliss in your backyard abode. But to us, one of the most thrilling is the beach pool by Biodesign® USA.
The Beach or the Backyard?
The beauty, mystery, and grandeur of the beach, or the privacy, intimacy, and versatility of your own backyard? It’s a decision made dozens of times each summer by people around the country. What if you didn’t have to choose?
But, What Is a Beach Pool?
A beach pool is a pool designed and constructed to look and feel like a beach, but in your backyard. These unique pools are also known as “sculpted pools,” or “Biodesign Beach Pools” and are the patented creations of Biodesign USA.
A beach pool is expertly designed to feel like a part of your backyard landscaping, but with a gentler impact on the environment than a conventional pool will have. The surface of a beach pool is made from a sand-like composite layer instead of the usual pool materials like vinyl, fiberglass, concrete, and gunite. Beach pools are endlessly customizable, and the best of your backyard can be integrated into their design: decks, patios, gardens, outdoor kitchens, a tiki bar, a swim-up bar – the only real limit is your own inimitable taste and imagination.
How Do We Get a Beach into Your Backyard?
Simple: We shake out your kids’ shoes and pockets after all the messy beach trips you won’t need anymore if you get a custom beach pool from Goodall Pools and Spas.
Or, since some folks feel that takes too long: Once your beach pool is designed, we excavate the appropriate space in your backyard and carve out the shape of the pool and any features you may want, like a cuddle cove or tanning ledge. The pool structure is then lined with a rubber membrane. Then we do the plumbing and the stone finishing. Next is a deep dive, pun very much intended, into all your ingredients and integrations, customizing the beach pool until you are thrilled: jets, music, lighting, a barista – anything you can dream of for your beach pool. The sand-like composite material goes over and around your custom elements for a finish you will be sharing on social media before the water is even dry (@ us, please).
Is There Anything Else Awesome About Beach Pools?
There sure is. We can’t emphasize enough how fully customizable beach pools are. What’s a beach without beach sounds? We’re ready to rig running water in the form of fountains and falls to make it sound as much like a natural body of water as it looks. Many beach pools are built with beach-style entries – a gradual slope from your sandy simulated seashore. This is great with younger kids around, as is a beach pool’s relatively shallow depth: Beach pools max out at about five or six feet deep. And beach pools allow you to trick out your out-of-water experience with lounges, a beach entry, tanning ledges (use protection), and anything else to make it feel more like the beach: food trucks, seabird calls, distant sails bobbing gently on the horizon (while supplies last).
That Sounds Great… But It’s Not Really the Beach
True. There are some key beach characteristics that we have not yet figured out how to approximate. Like paying fifteen dollars to park and then walking eight minutes to the beach; having to move every couple of hours because the tide is coming in; wading for twenty minutes to get wet because the tide is going out; long treks to sanitary facilities that are inevitably occupied when you get to them; windy days that sandblast you until you’re smoother than onyx; teeming crowds; unleashed dogs shaking seawater all over you and your beach blanket. But if you feel like you can live without these things, reach out now and begin your journey to a Goodall Pools and Spas beach pool.
